About The Owner
John Garretson, a graduate of Princeton University in Visual Arts and Art History, worked ten years in his family’s retail business before starting his contracting business in 1989. At first he worked mostly hands-on smaller projects, often providing supplementary design services. In 1998 he received his first award from The Historical Society of Princeton after completion of a larger project – the conversion of a circa-1840 Greek Revival residence into new business offices. The company continues to grow, and John remains conscientiously involved from start to finish in every project. His artistic eye, his design and drafting capabilities, his personal construction skills, his family-business management experience and his honest commitment to ethical standards together provide a unique and powerful professional resource for every client.
